Kalasagaram is presenting its Annual Youth Festival of Dance from 12th to 14th March, at Keyes High School in Secunderabad. This 3-day dance festival will feature 3 young and upcoming dancers, and the schedule is as follows:
12th March
6:30pm - Bharatanatyam by Jakkula Lakshmi Pravalika, disciple of V S Ramamoorthy and Manjula Ramaswamy
13th March
6:30pm - Bharatanatyam by Srikari S Rao, disciple of Geetha Ganesan
14th March
6:30pm - Bharatanatyam by Ashritha Vemuganti, disciple of Rajeshwari Sainath
The recitals all start at 6:30pm everyday.
Kalasagaram organises a youth festival of dance every year, wherein upcoming artistes are invited from all over the country, particularly south India. It also organises a youth festival of music, the last edition of which was conducted last month and had D Lakshmi Prachotan, Lavanya Sundararaman and Sandeep Narayan performing.
Kalasagaram is a south-Indian cultural association situated in the East Nehru Nagar of East Marredpally, and has been organising Carnatic music concerts for more than 35 years now. The concerts are usually held in the open-air theater of the Keyes High School campus. Kalasagaram also occasionally stages South-Indian classical dances and Tamil plays.
