Alankritha Art Gallery is organising Insight, an exhibition of photographs by Madhuchhanda Sen, from 5th to 12th March. A selection of about 20 photographs on nature are on display at the art gallery on Kavuri Hills in Madhapur.
Kolkata-based photographer Madhuchhanda Sen is a Post-Graduate in Geography, and naturally for her, nature is her first love. Mountains had always intrigued her, and she became an addict of high altitude trekking, rock climbing and hitch hiking. Gradually, she developed a penchant for capturing these memories with her camera, weaving stories with pictures, and so, the camera became her third eye.
Travelling around the world, she captures nature's images on her lenses, including people, their culture, flora and fauna, mountain, seas and landscapes. Her first solo exhibition was held at the Gaganendra Pradarshanshala (Kolkata Information Centre) during March 2006, and then on, her shots were exhibited at various places around the country.
