Born into a traditional sculptural family, Subodh Singh T has come a long way in defining art through his sculpture. A graduate of the JNTU College Of Fine Arts, Hyderabad, Singh has come a long way in establishing his work way beyond traditional art. He has to his honor a number of exhibitions and shows held at various places in and around Hyderabad, where he received enormous appreciation and praise for the creativity and precision that he displayed in his work.
This young man's commitment to the art form takes people by surprise when they come to know that his education in fine arts finished only as recently as in 2002. Of course, 'finished' would mean just acquiring the basic knowledge and fundamentals that are required for an artist to enhance his art and at the same time acquire an educational degree. Art has no boundaries, a fact that he acknowledges - as would you, when you see his work.
Some of Subodh's latest exhibition and participation in shows include the PTU state level exhibition of arts conducted in the year 2001, Shilpam 2002 at Hyderabad, the summer stone carving camp organized by Shilparamam, the terracota camp of all contemporary artists of Hyderabad, and New Expressions, a group show of sculpture in the JNTU College Of Fine Arts.
