Journey With Poetry is set to be an "intimate evening of poetry over samosas, chai and conversation" with Telugu poet K Siva Reddy. It is being held at Lamakaan, on the 16th December, 5:30pm onwards.
The complete works of Siva Reddy (comprising 14 volumes of poetry published since 1973) have just been released as a set of 3 volumes. This talk celebrates this literary event with a reading by the poet himself of some 20 handpicked poems.
Siva Reddy will read selected poems in Telugu, English and Hindi; and speak in English and Hindi about his 50 years of engagement with poetry and people. In addition, there will be a photo-slide presentation, and an interaction with the poet.
K Siva Reddy is well-known name in modern Telugu poetry. Recipient of the Central Sahitya Akademi award in 1990 for his sixth book, "Mohana! O Mohana!", the translations of Siva Reddy's poetry have also been popular.
