Inter-College Table Tennis Tournament For Women

St. Francis Degree College for Women, together with the Osmania University Inter-College Tournament Committee For Women, is organising an Inter-College Table Tennis Tournament For Women, on 23rd and 24th August, at the St. Francis Degree College. About 16 colleges are participating in this tournament, divided into two groups as below:

Villa Marie College
Kasturba Gandhi College
Govt. Degree College, Begumpet

Group B
St. Francis Degree College
Arora Degree College
Vasavi Engineering College
Indian Institute Of Management & Commerce College
Railway Degree College
Indira Priyadarshini College
St. Ann's College
Stanley Degree College

All the matches will be played in the league format and each college plays the other colleges in its group once. The top two teams in their respective groups qualify for the semifinals. In the semifinals, the topper of Group A will play the runners-up of Group B and the topper of Group B will play the runners-up of Group A, and the winners of the semifinals play the finals immediately.

Each college will have four players representing it, with two singles and one doubles match to be played against each opponent. Each match will be a best of three sets in the league matches, and a best of five sets for the semifinals and finals. Each set will have eleven game points. Mementos and participation certificates will be given to the winners, 2nd and 3rd placed teams.
