REVIEW FOR INDIAN CUE MASTERS LEAGUE
Pool mavens and enthusiasts are in for a big treat this week. The Indian Cue Masters League is opening on the 20th evening with great fanfare, and will followed by 5 days of top-sharks bringing out their A-games in evenly matched contests. Former world champion Padmashree Geet Sethi, Alok Kumar, Ashok Shandilya, Devendra Joshi, Pankaj Advani, Yaseem Merchant and Aditya Mehta are all there. And that makes it the biggest match in town, in state, in country.
Inauguration will happen at 1800 hrs by Mr. M K Patodia, Chairman CII. The game concept is novel with either 30 minutes of play, or a single-frame required to win in Snooker. Billiards games will have 50 points up, raised to 3 racks. The league will consist of 4 groups with 8 players each, and the final Knockout rounds will take place on the 25th.
The venue for the Indian Cue Masters is Jubilee Hills International Centre. And entry is free for all those pool lovers who wish to catch some of the table-top action. Please contact 2355-7888 for further details.
