Illuminati 2011, a national-level technical and management event, is being organized by the students of the DRK Institute Of Science & Technology on 2nd & 3rd March. The main objective of this annual fest is to create a platform for budding engineers and managers to showcase their technical finesse.
The 2-day technical and management fest will involve several events:
Technical Events
Paper Presentation
Papers can be presented on any topic related to CSE, ECE, IT, Mechanical and EEE branches of engineering.
Poster Presentation
The topics for this event are the same as for the paper presentation event.
C & Debugging
This event is divided into 3 parts:
Code Chef
A technical festival without a coding competition sounds incomplete. This one is a challenging programming contest with participants being given the freedom of coding in whichever language they want.

E-Design
This event is divided into two parts:
Analog Design
This has three rounds: Round one is objective, based on electronics; in round two, circuits with some errors will be given and the participants should rectify the error and get the output specified within the time limit, and in the final round, the participants will have to design the circuit for the given specifications, and should show the output by connecting the components on breadboard or by simulating it in multisim.
Digital Design
This is also the same as analog design with three rounds, but instead of manual circuits, participants will be provided with digital circuits.
Project Expo
Teams must display their project throughout the event schedule. Good design, easy navigation & proper coding will be the merit criteria.
Circuit Designing
This is an on the spot event where participants have to design a specific electronics application by using the components provided.
Aviator
Participants have to design and make a wireless remote controlled aircraft (using electric motors only), which has all three degrees of freedom including yaw, pitch and roll, and land the aircraft safely without any damage at the landing zone.
Workshops
There are 4 workshops:
Android, by Swecha
VLSI, by two eminent scientists from DRDO
The NextGen Web Designing
Robotics, by Phoenix Technologies
Management Events

Death Race
This event tests the robot's ability on a track built of mud and clay. Robots will be made to go through a track which is specially designed for this event.
Line Follower
A wireless line tracking robot should be made which has to trace a given arbitrary path including curves, sharp cuts or bumps. The machine should follow the line without deviating from it.
