GHMC is conducting its Annual Open Swimming Championship on 21st June, at the GHMC swimming pool, Secunderabad. The tournament, more than 15 years old now, is meant only for participants from the twin cities. The main aim of this event is to discover upcoming swimmers, and provide them a platform, so that they can excel in various national and international events. Around 100 participants are expected to take part in the tournament, which is a part of the anuual summer camp.
The various categories in the tournament include under-8, under-10, under-12, under-14 and above 15. It is open for both boys and girls, and the competitions for medalists and non-medalists will be held in different events.
There are many prizes at stake, and GHMC has come up with a innovative new gesture, of giving away useful items, such as swimming tracks or other swiming accessories, as prizes to all the winners.
