If younger voices often sound sweeter, younger flautists probably do too. This budding 28 year old is out to charm you with his intricate gamakas in the silvery symphony of the flute. A graduate in Carnatic music, N. N. Hemanand Narayan is a disciple of Tirutanni Krishnamurthy and Meenakshi Sundaram Bhagwata. He has been performing from 1992.
In this concert tonight by Hemanand, he will be accompanied on the violin by T. Hemamalini, on the mridangam by Tanjavur Ramdas and on the kanjeera by Trivandrum Rajagopal. It is being organised by kalasagaram in the Keyes High School premises.
