This is the inaugural conference of the South and West Asia chapter of ELSO, established in the year 2013 as a result of combined efforts of the members of ECMO Society of India and Extracorporeal Life Support Organisation, ELSO.
The chapter's main intention is to support and improve the understanding and practice of extra corporeal life support systems in its member countries.
This conference is being jointly organised by the ECMO Society of India as the 5th Annual conference and the first conference of South and West Asia chapter of ELSO.
This region is representative of the following member countries:
South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan
West Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen
