Fete De La Musique has a bit of history behind it. Like all the other French things. Like all the things, actually. To commemorate the rising of the musicians, which were as, many as 1 in a 3, Maurice Fleuret started this Fete De La Musique.
The festival is celebrated every year on the equinox's day - June 21st. This year it's being celebrated on the 19th of third month. We don't have the general knowledge to tell you why it is happening so, but we can generally tell you what will be happening there.
The institute, being true to the tradition, has invited a lot of semi-professional artists, amateurs to come and express themselves during the festival. You'll get to hear almost all the genres of music including traditional French songs, jazz, blues, country, classical, Hindi film songs and rock music.
