For one, you can get a pretty set of 2 handmade diyas for your puja room, at the handicrafts and handloom exhibition in President Function Hall. The exhibition is on from 22 July to 2nd Aug, 10am to 9pm everyday.
The exhibition is being organized by Lepakshi, an undertaking of the Government Of AP. It is an opulent fair with over 85 participants from various parts of the country displaying their collection. The handloom section comprises of sarees and dress materials from Venkatagiri, Pochampally, Mangalagiri, Madurai, West Bengal, and also from Coimbatore.
Handicrafts have come from Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, with participants showcasing collections of brass items, Kondapalli toys, Chennapatna toys and rose wood panels from Karnataka priced at a range of Rs. 300 to Rs.15,000.
