Don't let it give you strange ideas! The Y's Men's Club is an international organization that trains people to be leaders and managers. This event by its Indian chapter is aimed at generating awareness of its Mother and Child Program as part of its service activities. The program focuses on counselling uneducated and under-educated people at the lower levels of society on pregnancy and childcare, and suggests medicines, even providing them for free in case of really poor families.
This event will have an entertainment program comprising dances, songs, etc. by the younger members of the club, followed by a release of posters for the Mother and Child Program, and then by speeches on non-violence, the theme of the Club internationlly this year.
Membership to the club costs Rs. 1000 p.a., and Rs. 10,000 for a life membership (the latter can be redeemed at the end of 10 years, with membership continuing for another 5 years). Please contact Mr. Murthy at 2322-5669 for details.
