The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) is organising an all-India technical symposium "Electret '11" on 28th February & 1st March at the college's campus in Gandipet. Mini Project - An idea that is developed and put into action is better than an idea that exists just as an idea. Execution gives you an opportunity to display the physical form of your ideas in form of mini projects.

Auto Didact - This mock placements event consists of three rounds: Aptitude Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Circuit Design - A very fun-filled contest which takes into the world of resistors, capacitors and inductors - in short into world of electric circuits.

Posterior - Portray ideas in posters and color them.

Moviola - For those who are interested in expressing their views on social issues in the form of short-films.

Robotics

Robo-Racer - Build a manual robot that can move on different terrains and it should be able to find traction on dirt, slippery conditions.

Robo-Liner - The task of the event is to design and build an automatically-controlled robot that is capable of following the line. The line will have sharp turns and smooth curves. The robot to complete the task fastest is the winner for this event.

Robo War - The task of the event is to design and build a manually-controlled robot that is capable of pushing the other robot completely out of the arena. In case of damage to the other robot or the arena, the robot will be disqualified.

Informals

Dance Competition - A solo performance with a maximum song duration of 4 minutes

Pirates Of The 'Puzzle'ion - An onspot registration event, each team consists of a maximum of 2 pirates and the team should be crime master enough to crack the given puzzles.

Minute To Win It - Participants have to complete specified task in a minute. The participants have a chance to play all the games of first level. The top contestants will be filtered and sent to next level. One who finishes the second level games is considered the winner.

Slow Biking - As the name suggests, participants are required to ride the bike as slow as possible and the last to reach the finishing line is the winner.

Extempore - Participants will be given topic on the spot and they will be given a minute to prepare and speak about it. The one who speaks efficiently would be awarded with a cash prize.

Paint Your Hand - This is an event where you choose a design and get it painted on your hand.

Volley Shock-2 - It's the event for sports-lovers, especially those who love to play volley ball. Participate in this mini-volley game and win exciting prizes.
