Dim Sum is the name for a Chinese cuisine that originated as a result of travellers on the ancient Silk Route needing refreshments during their journeys. This cuisine involves a range of light dishes served alongside Chinese tea. Dishes may include meat, seafood, and vegetables, as well as desserts and fruit. The items are usually served in a small steamer basket or on a small plate.
The menu at Once Upon A Time boasts of a variety of dim sums in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. You can choose from a large number of stuffings that include mince chicken, spicy lambs and bamboo shoots, mixed meats, prawn and pepper, seafood and mushroom, ginger vegetables, bamboo shoot and babycorn, mushroom in soya, and tofu hot garlic. Momos (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), steamed meals and Chinese teas are also featured in the menu here. The service will be in authentic dim sum baskets to retain the steam and flavour of these delicacies.
Priced nominally between Rs. 135 to Rs. 175 per portion, the 'Dim Sum Food Festival' promises real value for money. Please contact 6651-5151 or 2375-7575 for further details.
