To promote Telugu culture among children, and to provide a state-level platform for them to exhibit their talents, a children’s cultural festival is being held from 14th November to 15th December, at Thyagaraja Gana Sabha. The 32-day event is being organised by Kinnera Art Theatres - a cultural, literary and social organisation - to commemorate 32 years of its formation. The programs will be on from 6pm to 8:30pm daily.
The event is being organised to promote authentic local sub-cultures from different parts of the state. Talent from various regions across AP will be showcased during the festival. The curtain raiser for the event was done on 22nd September by R Prabhakar Rao, chairman of Kinnera Art Theatres. All the performances during the festival centre around to Telugu culture, traditions and literature.
An interesting aspect of the festival is it would be coordinated by children. Also, participants may present several kinds of art forms, except film music and dances. Each day of the 32-day festival is designated to one district from the State. The 7 remaining days will witness children from different zones of twin cities exhibiting their talents in dramas, music, dance, mimicry, mime, poetry recital and literature.
The festival is open only to kids under the 10th Standard. Please contact 98660-57777 for further details.
