Ista is dishing out food for the iron-tummied. Here are some firecrackers from Chettinad. The Chettinad food festival is from the 1st to 15th of August, at its Indian speciality restaurant Deori. The festival will be orchestrated by the in-house Specialty Chef Kamalakannan.
Each guest will be greeted with a welcome drink, and will be offered a choice of the menus - with a variation of Dosas, Idiyappams and Adais with chutneys @ Rs. 299 onwards; and the Chettiar Thali including non-veg and vegetable curries and accompaniments, and sambhar and chutneys, @ Rs. 599 per head.
The festival will have spicy and hot dishes that include Koli Sukha, Poricha Meen, Erra Chettinad, Vazhakkai Podhimas, Enna Kartrikai, Chettinad Biryani, Chettinad Chicken, Chow Chow Koottu, Meen Veruval, Meen Manga Kozhambu, Keerai Poondu Massial, Vazhakkai Pulikulambu Vegetable Perattal, Vella Mangai Pachadi, Vendakkai Mandi and Vendakkai More Kulambu. Paal Paniyaram and Elaneer Payasam are the desserts providing the final touch to the menu.
