Goethe Zentrum Hyderabad, in association with La Makaan and Orient Black Swan, is presenting "Zeitgenossische Bilderbuchillustrationen In Deutschland" (Contemporary Illustrations In Germany), from 6th to 17th August, at La Makaan.
What child or adult does not admire the cheeky mice and tiger-ducks of Janosch's famous picture books? And who doesn't like to recall the dream landscapes and grotesque figures of F K Waechter, Tomi Ungerer and Rotraut Susanne Berner, which have illustrated both old fairy tales and modern prose?
"Zeitgenossische Bilderbuchillustrationen In Deutschland" is an exhibition of contemporary illustrations represented in picture books, and is touring through Goethe institutes all over the world. The exhibition is travelling to Hyderabad, and will be set up at La Makaan. It will be inaugurated by the special guest, artist-designer Jas Charanjiva.
