Novotel Hyderabad Airport is organising the Mughlai Food Festival from 1st to 15th August, at its Indian speciality restaurant Haldi. In-house Chef Srinivas will be supervising the food festival. Waiters in vintage attire will welcome the guests, and the restaurant has been decorated with portraits of Mughal Badshahs. Ghazals and mujras will add to the atmosphere.
The festival features a special menu with an assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food fare. Badam Shorba, Reshmi Kebabs, Mutton Shami, Gulatti Kebabs, Barrah Kababs, Zafrani Malai Boti (boneless chicken), Akbari Josh Boti, Jhangir Tikka Masala, Murgh Mughal Biryani, Punj Ratani Daal, Machli Anarkali (cubes of bekkhti fish), Nihari Pulao and Birbal Biryani (mutton) are all included. The dessert menu consists of traditional meethas like rasmalai and kheer.
The main spices used in Mughlai food are curd, cream and crushed nuts like cashew and ghee, which give it a rich taste. But what makes the food special is the use of ingredients carefully chosen and cooked to the right degree. Herbs, chillies and condiments are added to give a unique taste and texture to the dishes.
The festival is on for dinner from 6:30pm till midnight, and is available in special thalis starting from Rs. 799 onwards. Please contact 6625-0000 for further details.
