There is perhaps a flip side to chamber music. Until someone tells you, however, you'll never know. What you would know after tonite, is that Guha can sound even better than you thought.
Kalasagaram is organising a chamber music concert by V G Guha on 16th March, at the Kalasagaram premises in East Nehru Nagar, Secunderabad. Chamber music is a kind of music that is recited in a small indoor hall with a capacity of less than 50 persons. This concert will feature V G Guha reciting Carnatic vocal. Guha will be accompanied by Peri Thyagaraju on the violin and Burra Sriram on the mridangam.
V G Guha was initially a disciple of Late Maharajapuram Santhanam for 7 years, and was then under Prof S R Janakiram for 13 years. She is a recipient of the CCRT and the Bharat Kalachar scholarship. She won the vocal music competitions in the senior category conducted by Music Academy. She also won the 1st prize of Rs. 3,000 at Vibrations 2003, a cultural fest conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
She has performed at various venues across India. She currently works as a software engineer in Skywork Solutions Limited, Hyderabad.
