Hockey was the national sport until Gill happened to it. The good news is, by the time these kids bloom, Gill will most likely be dead, or at least become a mutant.
CBSE is conducting the South Zone Hockey Tournament, at Ivy League Academy in Shamirpet, from the 7th to the 10th of October. 27 teams from 13 different schools from the southern states of the country will be participating in the tournament. These teams will be competing in the under-14 and under-19 age categories, in both the boys and the girls sections. The matches will be played in the league-knockout basis.
All the matches will be played at the Ivy League Academy grounds at Shamirpet. There are 3 hockey fields available at the venue, with 3 matches each scheduled at each field, totaling 9 matches a day.

Participation certificates by the CBSE will be given to all the participants, in addition to gold, silver and bronze medals for the first three places in each category.
