Carnatic Vocal By Dr. Seshulatha: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR CARNATIC VOCAL BY DR....

On the occasion of the 3rd annual Brahmotsavams of the Sri Venkateswara Temple at Himayatnagar, from 9th to 13th June, the Dharma Prachara Parishad of the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams is presenting a recital of Annamacharya keertanas by Dr. Seshulatha, on the penultimate evening today. She will be supported by M Sudha on the violin and A Srinivas on the mridangam.

Dr. Seshulatha is a B-High grade artiste of the All-India Radio, and a disciple of Oleti Venkateswarlu. She has completed her Ph D in music under Dr. Sripada Pinakapani, an outstanding vocalist. She has also done the Sangeetha Alankar course from the Gandharva University, and Sangeetha Vidhwan from the Madras University.

Dr. Seshulatha has performed in most venues in India, and has also been to USA, UK, Malaysia and Singapore. She rendered her voice along with Nedunuri Krishna Murthy for the latter's audio cassettes, and has composed music for Dr. Shobha Naidu's dance ballets. Currently she is a music professor at the Telugu University, Hyderabad, and also trains students for music diploma courses, at her residence in Ameerpet.
