Brilliant Grammar school is hosting an Open Chess Under-14 Tournament, from 8th August to 9th August. The matches will start at 10am everday.
The chess tournament is open for everybody. There will be 3 matches per day, for both boys and girls, and in both the open and the under-14 categories. For the open chess tournament, anyone aged 6 to 75 years are allowed to participate. A total cash prize of Rs. 10,000 will be distributed to the top 20 places, for this category, with the winner getting Rs. 2,000, and the first runner-up Rs. 1,500. For the under-14 category, the top 2 places for boys and girls will be rewarded separately, with mementos.
The tournament is being organized by J Subramanyam, Joint Secretary of A P Chess Association. Participation is open for all, and the fee is Rs. 200.
