The 2-day Taramati Cultural Festival, on 12th & 13th December, will feature a Kuchipudi dance recital by Raja Radha Reddy and group on the 1st day, and a hilarious Hindi comedy play, Biwi-O-Biwi on the 2nd day.
Written, designed & directed by Rakesh Bedi, Biwi-O-Biwi stars Rakesh Bedi, Rashmi Sharma, Ramesh Talwar, Avtar Gill, Sulabha Arya, Sharmilee, Manju Sharma, Prashant Padale and Geetanjali Gill.
The play deals with the theme of modern male chauvinism and how the modern woman stands up to and fights against it. The middle class woman can no longer be treated like a doormat, and moreover, there are certain prevalent binding values in our society, but there is a limit to everything. The play revolves around the relationship between the main protagonists, Dr.Pawan Soorma, and his wife, Pooja.
