It's only apt that the seventh Sultan's monument to his favorite dancers, Taramati and Premavati, should host a rousing good session of dance and music at least once every year. And as fitting tributes go, this one is the grandest and most satisfying to lovers of art all over Hyderabad.
Premavati Dance Festival will have performances by some extremely well-known names of the Indian stage: kathak maestro Birju Maharaj (24th), kuchipudi duo Raja-Radha Reddy(22nd), and bharathnatyam artiste and actor in the films, Shobana (23rd). But what's even more exciting than the big names is the sheer variety of art forms this festival brings to the city.
