Amrutham (a book on Ayurveda & Health) is organising Ayurveda Mela & Exhibition from 8th to 14th February, at the Indira Priyadarshini auditorium, Public Gardens, Nampally. This exhibition will feature different kinds of rare herbs, medicinal preparations, tonics and herbal medicines.
Nearly 400 raw herbs and 200 medicinal plants are on display, among which are rudraksha, cancer plant, insulin plant, Somalatha, Kalpavruksha, Red Chitremoolam, Tella Eshwari (by which one can know whether one has diabetes or not, and the status of blood sugar in diabetes), Bhurja Patra, Agaru, Jyotishmathi, Bharangi, Ekanayakam (useful for diabetes), Jatiphal, Tejovathi, Brahmi, Saraswati, Ratnapurusha, Vidari Kandha and Lakshmanapanji. Medicinal plants are also for sale.
The Ayurveda mela also features a 3-day seminar, including a live demonstration on the preparation of Ayurveda medicines, purification of herbs, leech therapy, and panchakarma, ksharasutra and agnikarma treatments. Experts in ayurveda - Dr. Kondapally Narasimha Reddy, Dr. TS Prasad, Dr. Srikanth, Dr. V Ravishankar and T Madhu - and people connected to different fields within Ayurveda are participating.
