Daira Centre for Arts and Culture is presenting "Art Jamboree 2012", an annual art carnival, from 14th to 16th December, from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
The 3-day art exhibition is organized on the lines of the Baroda/Shantiniketan art fairs, where artists of all ranks come together to create art/craft products to raise funds.
Ashwini Ponnappa, badminton player, will inaugurate the show.
Art Jamboree is intended to stir Hyderabad's "still life". This event is to open new perspectives, and to involve not just the participating artists and designers, but also art patrons, lovers and the media.

The aim of Art Jamboree is to create aesthetic utilitarian art, and to design objects that are affordable and unique. The objects on display during the Jamboree will include stationery, ceramics, bags, decoratives, paintings, masks, coasters, garden sculptures, jewelry, toys, lamp shades and swings.
Art Jamboree is being organised with the support of sponsors Nine Hills (Seagram's) and State Bank Of India (SBI). The Goethe Zentrum is the event's official promoter.
