An arangetram performance is a pivotal juncture in the career of a dancer. Bharatnatyam dancer Sudhi Aggarwal takes to the stage for the very first time. A test of substantiation for both guru and shishya, the arangetram is the climactic point in the journey of learning.
The young danseuse will begin the performance with the customary alaripu or pushpanjali. Here she will pay her respects to both God and Guru. Sudhi will then perform the shabda, varnam, padam and devaranama. She will close the performance with the complex tillana which like the alaripu is a pure nrtta piece.
The chief guest for the evening is Dr. C Narayana Reddy. The Vice-Chancellor of the Telugu University, A. Manjulatha, is the guest of honour. The dancer's proud guru, Padma Rani, will also be present.
Please contact Padma Rani at 93999-79799 for further details.
