Getting on stage can be a particularly uncomfortable experience for some persons, such as the MCH bosses trying to make a speech on personal integrity. But this girl has some cool pedigree.
Shrutilaya Kendra Natyalaya, a dance institute founded by Karaikudi Mani, a famous dancer and expert in Bharatanatyam, has been training students in this dance form ever since its inception. And Rajeshwari Sainath, the niece of Karaikudi Mani and a versatile danseuse specializing in Bharatanatyam who has given numerous performances in India and overseas, teaches students here. She is the disciple of Indira Rajan, and has a dancing experience of about 27 years.
Her student Varshita, the daughter of Dr. M Lakshmi Narasu, Associate Professor, Center for Biotechnology, has been under her tutelage for quite sometime, and is presenting her Arangetram today. She is a 6th class student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya who is also quite good at studies.
