This saint has written more than 32,000 sankeerthanas - to give you an idea, you would need about 400 CDs to contain all of them. Yes, it's easier to just let others do it, like tonite.
Sangeeta Ksheerasagaram, in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, is organising a concert of Annamacharya Sankeertanas by Devulapally Srinivas Sridevi tonite at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini-hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally.
The recital starts at 10:30AM, and will be followed by the release of an audio cassette / CD comprising Annamacharya Sankartanas sung by Devulapally Srinivas Sridevi and scripted by Mangalampally Suryadeepti.
The cassette/CD will be released by Maha Mahopadhyaya Dr Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana, and the chief guest for the function will be T L Kanta Rao, actor of the yesteryears. Other guests for the event are M Chittaranan (singer), Vijayalakshmi Sarma (Singer) and Mangalampally Surya Deepti (classical singer).
