The Tharuni Handicrafts Exhibition is a platform where women get an opportunity to display and sell their products. The exhibition is being organized by the A P Women's Cooperative Finance Corporation Limited (APWCFCL) in its endeavor to provide marketing support to products produced by women's groups and women entrepreneurs, and also to improve standardization, packaging, branding, pricing and publicity through the Tharuni Resource Center that organizes the melas.
The present exhibition will be open for 10 days, with artisans from Warangal district displaying their items. Stalls selling Ghanapur lace, Pembarti brass items, dress material, Warangal durries, soft toys and other handicrafts and handlooms, all made by women, will be on. Such exhibitions are periodically organized by the department to help poor women artisans and also to create awareness among the local public that their exhibitions offer quality products for reasonable prices.
