One of the most popular chief guests in town is today going to be the center of attraction for totally different reasons. It's his own day today!
For the uninitiated, the state minister for law, P Chandrasekhar, known as much for the position he holds as for his patronage of the arts, is a poet, too. He has released 2 volumes of poetry already, the first, Mattideepalu, being in 1995, and the second being Toranalu, as recent as in April 2000. And his third volume, titled Amma Vadilo, is coming out today, released by Aakruti.
A graduate of the Osmania University in law and commerce, P Chandrasekhar was born in Mahboobnagar, and grew to enjoy a successful career in politics - he has been an MLA and then the President of the Department of Tourism, and has held 3 portfolios as a minister in the state cabinet. The evening will be attended by his colleague Y Ramakrishnudu, the minister of finance, and also by Dr C Narayan Reddy and Boyi Bhimanna.
