The M S Rama Rao Memorial Trust is commemerating the 80th birth anniversary of late M S Rama Rao, on 3rd July, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. M S Rama Rao was the first playback singer of Telugu cinema. He was popularly known as a devotional singer. On his 80th anniversary, his grandson Dr. P Srinivas and some of his disciples will be singing some of his compositions. Padmabhushan and Padmasri Dr. C Narayana Reddy will be the chief guest for the occasion.
P Srinivas, a doctor by profession, is carrying forward the legacy left behind by his grandfather. He established the M S Rama Rao Memoiral Trust in December 2003, in memory of his grandfather. The main aim of the trust is to conduct socio, economic and cultural activities, and it has organized 20 programs so far since its inception.
