The Indian Hockey Federation is organizing the 6th Men's Asian Junior Hockey Cup, from 11th July to 18th July, at the Gachibowli hockey stadium. The tournament will be held on league-cum-knockout basis, and the winner of the event will automatically qualify for the 2009 World Cup to be played in Malaysia. The participating nations are divided into two groups as listed below:
Group A - India, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore
Group B - Bangladesh, Korea, Oman and Pakistan
International Hockey Federation President Els Van Breda Vriesman and other top officials of world body will be attending the tourney. Please contact the Sports Authority Of Andhra Pradesh at 2323-5052 for further details.
