Save A Child's Heart (SACH) is organizing a fun olympiad from 17th July to 19th July at the Hitex exhibition grounds. The olympiad is a fund-raising initiative of the foundation aimed at corporates, to save the lives of 500 children affected by congenital heart diseases, who need immediate care and treatment.
The olympiad will consist of regular games with a difference, i. e. the games will be played on inflatable fields. Amateur teams of 60 each from various corporates are expected to participate in the event, with more than 50 teams expected. Cheering teams are also invited from each corporate, with special gifts being given for the best cheering slogan and team.
The various games in the olympiad include football, boxing, The Gladiators, The High Jump, tug-of-war, The Bungee Run, kabaddi, volleyball, rock-climbing and Rock 'n' Roll, all of which will be played on inflatable fields. The registration fee for the event is Rs. 75,000, which is the amount required for the heart surgeries of 2 patients.
The event is being organized by SACH in assocation with Apollo Hospitals and the Indian Army. Save A Child's Heart, established in 2003, has touched the lives of over 50,000 children so far. It is the largest charitable organization in India providing pediatric cardiac care to children suffering from heart diseases. Their mission is to provide quality treatment and financial access to children belonging to lower socio-economic groups.
