A music festival remembering pandit Motiram and pandit Maniram, 44th Motiram-Maniram Sangeet Samaaroh, will be held at the CCRT from November 30 to December 2. Musical maestros will perform live at this event. Governor E S L Narasimhan will inaugurate the festival.
To commemorate his late father and elder brother, pandit Jasraj has been organizing a music festival for the last 40 years in Hyderabad, christened 'Motiram-Maniram Sangeet Samaaroh'. The festival helped produce some of the finest exponents of Indian classical music, who perform at his invitation each year.
Jasraj also lends his vocals at the fete on the 30th of every November - the date of his father's death anniversary. Originally the festival was named solely after Jasraj's father, Motiram. But after the death of his elder brother in 1986, Jasraj rechristened the festival to include his brother's name as well.
All Jasraj followers, classical musicians and enthusiasts.
