Stars will stoop down a little closer over the Nizam College to play audience to the mellifluous voice of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj on the 30th of December. Padma Vibhushan Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj who breathed a new life into the Mewati gharana is one of the greatest musicians of all times. He has created hundreds of beautiful 'bandishes and khayaals'.
The Department Of Culture, Government Of A P, in association with Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj and Nizam College, is presenting the 33rd Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeeth Samaroha. The program is being scheduled at Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj International Centre Of Culture And Aesthetics, Department Of English, Nizam College.
Other performers tonite will include, Nidari Kumar (sitar), Taufiq Qureshi (percussion), Pandit Dinesh (kongo), Anand Sharma (keyboards and vocals) and Pandit Vijay Ghate (tabla).
The Chief Guest for the evening will be M Satyanarayana Rao, Minister for Culture, Sports and Cinematography, Govt. of AP. T K Dewan, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of AP, will be the Guest Of Honour.
