Exotic Oriental art makes its way to Hyderabad this week with Yuriko Lochan's award winning work. The intense colors of Gouache on the gold bordered paper of Shikishi are on display in this exhibition titled Reality Dreams.
An artist born in Osaka, Japan in 1962, Yuriko completed her undergraduate studies and obtained a masters in painting at the Faculty Of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University Of Arts.
She is married to an Indian artist, and has been settled in India for the past 18 years, and has conducted many solo exhibitions in India and Japan. She has won the Matsubara award from the Kyoto University and has been appointed as the Special Adviser For Cultural Exchange by the Government of Japan.
