For many in town, this would well be the biggest musical festival of 'em all. Think, and you shall hear!
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great saint Sri Thyagaraja, the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University is organising the 160th Aradhanotsavam, from 18th to 20th January. To comemmorate this occasion, traditional music kacheris and seminars will be staged during the 3-day fest, as below:
18th January
09:00am - Pooja at Thyagaraja's statue at Tank Bund
10:30am - Inauguration of music fest at NTR auditorium, Telugu University
11:00am - Speeches by chief guest Sabita Indrasena Reddy, State Minister for mines and geology; Dr A Manjulatha, Vice-Chancellor of Telugu University; and Mahomahopadyaya Dr Nookala Chinnasatyanarayana
02:00pm - Carnatic vocal concert by junior students of Telugu University
