Violin Recital By B S Narayanan

As part of its weekend program of music and dance, Shilparamam is presenting a violin recital by B S Narayanan, on 23rd March. Providing him support are P Srinivas Gopalan on the mridangam and B Janardhan on the ghatam. Narayanan will be playing some Annamacharya and Thyagaraja keertanas during the hour long recital.

B Narayanan is a senior violin player, with almost 40 years of music experience. He is an A-grade staff artiste of the All-India Radio, Hyderabad, since 1975, and has performed for many programs of AIR and Doordarshan. He is a disciple of Prof. T N Krishnan, one of the most respected violinists of Chennai.

Narayanan has accompanied several accomplished vocalists, such as late M S Subbulakshmi, T V Sankaranarayanan, Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana, Puranam Purushothama Sastry and the Hyderabad Brothers. He has toured countries like USA, Brazil, UK, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Vietnam.
