Taj Krishna is hosting an exhibition of paintings by renowned artist Anindya Roy from 21st to 24th March. Roy's works are mostly reflections of city life, and the aspirations and dreams of the urban middle class living in a multi-cultural and multilingual society. For the concept development, he travelled to many historical and interesting places and tried to conceptualize the togetherness of living and non-living objects in nature.
Born in Kolkata in 1967, Anindya graduated from Calcutta University, and studied art in the Academy Of Fine Arts Sketches Club with guidance from some of the most famous artists in India. He did 6 solo shows and over 30 group shows in all major cities in India. Some of the leading galleries in India have showcased his art, like the Chitrakoot Gallery, Galarie 88, Lalitkala, Art Today, Nehru Centre and Jahangir Art Gallery.
