The exhibition will be inaugurated at 12 noon on the 26th July, with talks by experts from various fields, who will explore various aspects of urban changes.
Urban Changes is an itinerant exhibition, which is the outcome of a photography workshop, organised by Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, which focused on capturing and presenting images of India through the lenses of well-known young photographers from South Asia. The workshop was conducted and curated by the Berlin based photographer Andrea Kuenzig.
The topic, 'Urban Changes', has a large canvas as such, and the approaches of photographic exploration are manifold. In their endeavour to present their perception of 'Urban Changes' the photographers have focused on the development of urban and rural structures in the era of globalisation, using photography as an art-form and also as a medium for juxtaposition.
