We take it so much for granted that we hardly ever realize how lucky we are to be born normal. Only when we see those not as lucky overcoming their hurdles to teach us a lesson or two do we thank the creator for his benevolence.
The Thakur Hariprasad Institute for mentally deranged and physically challenged children is organizing various cultural events this evening. Around 40 children from Mumbai, specially visiting the city for this occasion, are expected to participate, along with the local Thakur Hariprasad Institute's students.
These children are performing with a mission - to create awareness among the general public, and in order to show them that they can perform just as well in every field, given proper training. The authorities are proudly claiming that they are going to prove just that this evening.
The cultural programs scheduled include a mythological play "Mohini Bhasmasura", folk dance, a mrudangam performance, a solo dance, a message oriented skit, a Kuchipudi dance, a synthesizer performance, a bhangra dance, a savra (tribal dance) and lots more.
Even the volunteers who have joined for diploma and graduate courses in this institute are performing, as are the institute's faculty, to encourage the children.
