In Sambasiva's Ramayana, songs and poems replace the Sanjivini herb!
P Sambasiva Rao is conducting a talk on the most famous epic of India, the Ramayana. He has studied and researched the Ramayana for more than 55 years. He will be discussing the various chapters of the Ramanyana like the Ayodhya Kandam and the Sundara Kandam.
The main objective of his talk is to educate the listeners on the beliefs and customs in this epic that still hold water in the contemporary life. He will also talk about the different situations and morals that can help people in leading a good life.
The talk will be punctutated with a few songs and poems, sung by singers inclusing Karunakar, Shailaja Murthy, Yamini Rani and Nagarajendra. These songs will be sung to break the monotony and make this program more interesting and entertaining. Sambasiva Rao will also be taking questions from the audience at the end of the talk.
The guests of honour include musician Kalluri Murali Krishna; the president of the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Venkata Kala Dikshitulu; and cine writer Maharadhi.
