PREVIEW FOR SEMINAR AND EXHIBITION ON JAPANESE CULTURE
A whole lot of Japanese culture is on now in town. Ikebana, Bonsai, Origami,
Japanese films… here's a look-in into another place, another race.
The Consulate General of Japan, the Japan Foundation and the Asa Bhanu Japan Center are jointly organizing a seminar on Poka Yoke (a Japanese management technique) to mark the golden jubilee celebrations of Indo-Japan relations. During the celebrations, events like a Japanese language speech contest, Ikebana, Bonsai, Origami and screening of Japanese films will take place.
The motive behind organizing the program is to make the denizens of the twin cities aware of the rich culture and heritage of Japan. An exhibition of Japanese arts and paintings will also be held during the occasion. The seminar will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, Prof A K Bhatnagar. The exhibition will be open for public from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on September 27 and 10.30am to 7.00pm on September 28.
