The Hyderabad Film Club, in collaboration with the Hyderabad Korean Residents Association, and the Korean Consulate (Mumbai), is organizing a Korean film festival from 26th to 28th December, at the Prasad Labs Preview theatre.
The festival is being inaugurated on the 26th, at 6pm. The inaugural function will be followed by the screening of the film, Marrying The Mafia II, at 7pm.
Directed by Yong Gee Jung, this 115 minute-long comedy revolves around a big-league mafia family. Mrs Hong, the matriarch of the family, entrusts a mission to her sons, to find an elite daughter-in-law for her eldest son In Jae. In Jae falls in love with Jin Kyung, and when he comes to know that she is a prosecutor of the homicide department, he vows to quit the mafia and become a respectable businessman, all to impress Jin Kyung. Predictably, things go seriously awry.
Marrying The Mafia II was released in 2005, and stars Shin Hyeon-jun, Kim Won-hie, Lim Hyeong-jun, Tak Jae-hun, Kim Soo-mi, Kong Hyeong-jin, Shin Yi, Kim Su-mi, Park Hee Jin, Kim Hyo-jin and Hyeon Yeong.
