Illuminati 2011, a national-level technical and management event, is being organized by the students of the DRK Institute Of Science & Technology on 2nd & 3rd March. The main objective of this annual fest is to create a platform for budding engineers and managers to showcase their technical finesse.
The 2-day technical and management fest will involve several events:
Papers can be presented on any topic related to CSE, ECE, IT, Mechanical and EEE branches of engineering.
The topics for this event are the same as for the paper presentation event.
C & Debugging
This event is divided into 3 parts:
A technical festival without a coding competition sounds incomplete. This one is a challenging programming contest with participants being given the freedom of coding in whichever language they want.
The aim of this event is to colour the screen by coding graphical programs in c language. The participants will be asked to produce a particular 2D graphic animation and whoever codes the programs that are colourful and produces intended animation results on the screen will be selected for finals.
This event is divided into two parts:
This has three rounds: Round one is objective, based on electronics; in round two, circuits with some errors will be given and the participants should rectify the error and get the output specified within the time limit, and in the final round, the participants will have to design the circuit for the given specifications, and should show the output by connecting the components on breadboard or by simulating it in multisim.
This is also the same as analog design with three rounds, but instead of manual circuits, participants will be provided with digital circuits.
Teams must display their project throughout the event schedule. Good design, easy navigation & proper coding will be the merit criteria.
This is an on the spot event where participants have to design a specific electronics application by using the components provided.
Participants have to design and make a wireless remote controlled aircraft (using electric motors only), which has all three degrees of freedom including yaw, pitch and roll, and land the aircraft safely without any damage at the landing zone.
There are 4 workshops:
Android, by Swecha
VLSI, by two eminent scientists from DRDO
The NextGen Web Designing
Robotics, by Phoenix Technologies
The topics for presentation are:
Imagine One World One Currency - What Will Be The Pros And Cons?
Challenges To Finance Management For Next Generation
Global Work Culture Impact On India By 2020
White Collar Challenges To Future Globalization
Market Corrections Pre & Post Recession
Public Private Partnership For Infrastructure Growth
Bring out the hidden artist and showcase reality on a poster - any topic related to MBA is accepted.
It involves a stress interview concept, wherein the interviewer puts you under psychological stress to evaluate how you perform under pressure.
Participants must present a financial & business development plan. Presentations should include target market analysis and strategies which include business models and competitive advantages.
Participants will be given a product and asked to come up with a creative ad, a punch line, a jingle, the USP and also the marketing strategy for the product.
This game is based on the fundamental understanding of financing and investment. Participants are required to raise virtual capital from a combination of equity and debt.
This is an event of Soccer Robots, wherein robots must compete on an arena specially designed for a robo soccer match. One who makes more goals than his opponent wins the round, and is promoted to the next round of the event.
The aim of the game is to push the opponent out of the ring. The competition will be played on a knock-out basis with two machines competing against each other at a time, and the loser being disqualified.
The aim of the game is to cross all zones in the least possible time, and the maximum run-time for a race is 5 minutes.
This event tests the robot's ability on a track built of mud and clay. Robots will be made to go through a track which is specially designed for this event.
A wireless line tracking robot should be made which has to trace a given arbitrary path including curves, sharp cuts or bumps. The machine should follow the line without deviating from it.
It is a competition of online games, and the games are Dota, Counter Strike, FIFA '07, and NFS Most Wanted.
The film should not be more than 10 minutes in length. The people appearing in the film should be present at the time of screening.
This is a quiz on general affairs and current affairs.
The event provides participants with a chance to showcase cubing talents. The timings are recorded by the coordinators, and the best timings are awarded.
This event involves crosswords, sudoku and riddles.
In this event, the participant have to ride his bike as slow as possible in the specified track allotted to him. The participant who takes maximum time in completing the task i.e.. whoever drives the bike as slow as possible without landing his feet on ground will be considered as best performer and awarded.
