The Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication, in association with Maytas Properties, is organising its annual multi-city media seminar called Footprints, on the theme Hyderabad Beyond Biryani (a forum to look at the influences of both the youth and the media in the making of Brand Hyderabad), on 22nd November, at the KLN Auditorium, FAPCCI, Red Hills.
Eminent personalities and pioneers in their fields of expertise, such as T S Sudhir, Resident Editor, NDTV; Mani Shankar, Filmmaker; Dr. Jayprakash Narayan, National Coordinator, Loksatta; Santha John, MD, Mindset EYW Advertising; Vijay Marur, CEO, DC Interactive; and Kingshuk Nag, Resident Editor, The Times Of India, will give their versions on the given theme.
Footprints is the annual city-centric media event organized by SIMC Media Trainees across the country, and is being organized successfully for the past 7 years across 12 cities, at Hyderabad, Lucknow, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Baroda, Indore and Pune. It is an avenue for the Indian media industry and aspiring media professionals to interact during the course of a daylong seminar.
Established in 1991, originally as the Symbiosis Institute of Journalism & Communication (SIJC), the institute was renamed in 1998 as Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, and again in 2007 as Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication. From a vocational training Institute, SIMC has become a media and communication research institute, and over a period of time, it has evolved into a leading education and training institute, providing industry with trained and competent professionals.
