Freedom Ride 2009 With The Atlanta Foundation

You can begin your Independence Day celebrations with the Freedom Ride being organized by the Hyderabad Bicycling club in collaboration with Atlanta Foundation, on 15th August, at Hyderabad International convention Centre (HICC). The ride will start at 7am.

This is the opening edition of the annual bicycling event to commemorate India’s Independence Day. It is a 62 kilometre (to mark 62 years of India's freedom) bicycle ride through an organized route. Teams from several multinational companies are participating in the ride, in order to raise awareness and funds for nominated charitable educational causes.

Registration is individual and through company registrations. The fund raising target is a minimum of Rs. 10,000 per rider, and funds will be donated to underprivileged schools.

The ride will be fully supported with sufficient rest stations (with drinks and snacks) along the way, with proper safety, security, directions and traffic measures taken. There will be an end-of-the-ride luncheon for the participants.
