The South Indian Cultural Association (SICA), in association with the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) and the Department Of Culture, Government Of Andhra Pradesh, is organising the 600th jayanti celebrations of Saint Annamacharya, from 25th to 27th June, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. The 3-day celebrations will feature some renowned music and dance artistes including Sweta Prasad, the Malladi Brothers, Dr. Anupama Kailash & group, Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, Venu Madhav and the Priya Sisters.
Venu Madhav will perform a Carnatic vocal concert on the last day, 27th June, from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. He will be accompanied by Kolanka Saikumar on the violin, T P Balasubrahmanian on the mridangam and B Janardan on the ghatam. He will be performing various items including:

Venu Madhav is one of the illustrious disciples of D Raghavachari (of the Hyderabad Brothers). He was initiated early into music, at the age of 6, by his grandmother, late S M Rajyalakshmi. He continued his training from late Saagi Venkateswar Rao and E Savitri in the Nagarjuna College of Music and Dance, Guntur. He soon went on to complete his certificate course under Guru Haripriya (of the Hyderabad Sisters) and his diploma under late Vasa Padmanabham.
Madhav is currently undergoing advanced training under D Raghavachari to further hone his talent to perfection. He is known for his perfect sense of sruti and laya. Endowed with a deep voice, he takes great care to get the right diction of the lyrics, along with laying emphasis on the bhava and rasa of the raga and song.
Madhav has performed for major organizations including Nada Bharathi, the South Indian Cultural Association and Vamsee Art Theatres International, to name a few. He has also performed all over the world, including at South Africa, Mauritius, Srilanka, Amsterdam, Costa Rica, Honduras, Antigua, Quito, Washington DC, Toronto, Chicago, California, Sanfransisco and Paris, and has released 5 albums on devational songs.
